It has been held each year since 1886. This makes it the oldest community organisation in the district.
It was started as a way of supporting and encouraging rural activities, especially farming and that is a theme which continues today.
The Kaitaia Show is held over the last weekend in February. The Saturday is always the day on which most of the action happens but indoor exhibits are open to the public on Friday afternoon and usually there are some equestrian activities on the Sunday.
The Kaitaia Show has always provided a place where commercial displays can be seen. Everything from water filters to huge tractors will be on display and what would a show be without hot dogs, candyfloss and lots of food?
The Kaitaia Show is a great place for the family. It is value for money and something new is always some where on the grounds.
Welcome, Haere Mai. Dobra Dosli.
The Kaitaia Show is the "Top" A & P show in the country.
A great place to take the whole family.

Community organisations often use the show as somewhere to show their activities. Along with those displays there will always be entertainment.
Equestrian competitions, dairy and beef cattle, sheep, pets, small animals and pony rides all contribute to the rural atmosphere.
Axemen's carnivals, rodeo events and tug of war have all been major attractions and those or similar attractions will be programmed in future shows.
